Nargis Fakhri at Ranbir Kapoor’s birthday

Nargis and Neetu were snapped hugging and sharing a good laugh at the party. Insiders claim that Neetu has developed a liking for the Rockstar debutante, and that was quite visible at the Ranbir’s birthday bash. What came also as a shock was the entry of Deepika Padukone. Ranbir and Deepika have let bygones be bygones and will soon start working in Ayan Mukherjee’s film. Actress Priyanka Chopra and director Karan Johar were also seen entering the party.

But Nargis was the cynosure of all eyes at the party. Though Ranbir has continued denying dating her, he is all praises for the model-turned-actress. Ranbir Kapoor said that Nargis Fakhri has been a great asset, a boon, for Rockstar; he also admired her acting skills and charismatic onscreen persona.

Ranbir Kapoor turns 29 today. We wish the young star a wonderful, fruitful year ahead.

Rockstar Story – Ranbir Kapoor & Nargis Fakhri

Rockstar is one of the most awaited films of the year and rightly so. The film is directed by one of the most talented young director’s in recent times – Imtiaz Ali – director of classics like Socha Na Tha and Jab We Met. Love Aaj Kal wasn’t close to his usual high standards, but Rockstar should set the record straight. The trailers are looking good and Imtiaz once again, seems to have extracted the best performances out of his star cast.

Rockstar is about Janardan Jakhar (played by Ranbir Kapoor) an uncouth, social nobody in a college in Delhi. He’s a good-for-nothing, un-cooperative son at home. And a struggling-musician-with-little-hope to his friends.

But Janardan wants to change all that. So when a well-wisher discloses the secret behind all great success (that he will have to fall in love with someone and break his heart. Only then will his music become better, deeper and you will be a star – a Rockstar!).

Janardan is determined to make it happen, so he be-friends Heer (played by Nargis Fakhri); the most popular girl in college. The two strike an unconventional friendship and spend their days together in reckless abandonment.

When Heer leaves, Janardan continues with his regular life. He decides to give up music and join his family business. But fate has other plans for him as he meets Heer again. This time things are different. Before he knows it..

Rockstar is Janardan’s tumultuous journey of self discovery, longing and restlessness only to realize that the very thing he spent his life looking for.. was in front of him the whole time.

Rockstar directed by Imtiaz Ali stars Ranbir Kapoor as Janardan and Nargis Fakhri as Heer. The music has been multiple Academy Award winner A R Rahman and the lyrics have been penned by Irshad Kamil.

Nargis Fakhri says Ranbir Kapoor is just a good friend

Nargis Fakhri has diligently kept away from the media and avoided answering questions about her relationship status. But, she has finally decided to speak up. A lot of guess work has been going on about her equation with Ranbir Kapoor, but, she never came forward to clarify her stand.

"I don't really care what people think- no matter what you say or do, they will think what they want to," she said in an interview to Vogue magazine. She will grace the cover of the coveted magazine in a forthcoming issue.

Fakhri denies being in a relationship at the moment, but candidly admits that she would love to be date someone. A good sense of humour, intelligence and spirituality are the three basic qualities she seeks in her companion.

The actress, who hails from New York has a Pakistani father and a Czech mother, and will be seen in Imtiaz Ali's much awaited film Rockstar, opposite Ranbir Kapoor.

When asked about Ranbir Kapoor she describes him as "a very caring and supportive coactor"." I was a bit apprehensive about working with him at first. I was afraid he would make me feel like I'm not good enough."

When asked about the comfort level she shares with him, she laughed it off and said: "Yes, we are just friends. Nothing more. You know, I've always been a tomboy, since childhood. I prefer hanging out with the dudes as they're always doing fun things," she adds as an afterthought.

Until she came to Mumbai, she did not even know Hindi."I can speak German, Spanish and even a bit of Greek.It took me just three months to pick up Hindi," she beemed.

Nargis Fakri on Sallu’s radar

Salman Khan wants to team up with Ranbir Kapoor’s new girl Nargis Fakhri for his film ‘Sher Khan’.

The director has gone to great lengths to ensure that she remains hidden from the paparazzi. She has been asked not to speak to the media, and stay away from filmi events and parties. Though the paps did manage to click her on a secret date with her co-star Ranbir, the director is going to great lengths to ensure that she remains under wraps for the moment.
